The work that was done to adapt the house to passivhaus was to perfectly calculate the thickness of its insulation, and a sealing layer was implemented, which is very important since the values required by passivhaus were not reached. The windows were perfectly studied, since there are many in the house and special care had to be taken. As for the structure, being light-framed, there were no problems with thermal bridges.
A mechanical ventilation system Angola Email List with a certified heat recovery system was installed.
A pellet stove was installed, which is practically not used, if it has been turned on it is to show it to clients, and a refreshing underfloor heating in the kitchen area exclusively.
The domestic hot water, the underfloor heating and the heat pump are fed by an aerothermal system, an air/water heat pump.

MONITORING OF OUR PASSIVHAUS
As we said, the home has been designed to experiment. It has been monitored since March 2015 and we control humidity, temperature, and ppm measurements inside the home.
Probes have been placed outside and inside the home to obtain readings of the aforementioned values.
Summer and winter temperature and C02 concentration
temperature-monitoring-passivhaus
This graph corresponds to the summer, specifically the month of August of this year.

In the month of August, with a maximum outside temperature of 37º and a minimum of 10º, inside the temperature has remained constant at 25ºC.
winter-monitoring-passivhaus
In the winter months, we see that in January outside we had -4º minimum, and 16º maximum and inside we were between 20º and 24º.
concentration-co2-passivhaus
In the graph we can see 3 months of monitoring and the CO2 concentration is 500 ppm (particles per million on average), when the optimum according to the WHO (World Health Organization) is for values between 800 ppm and 1000 ppm.
